Expression of Interest: Instructions

Letters of Interest are due on September 05, 2021

The 16th International Congress on SLE (LUPUS 2025) will follow the 14th congress in Venice in 2021 and the 15th congress in Seoul, South Korea in 2023. The committee of Congress chairs is now calling for expressions of interest to host this meeting. Based on the meeting history, a congress site in the Americas would be likely to be viewed favorably.

Experience in SLE research and appropriate Congress organizational support are of course pre-requisites. The future Chair should also be an expert in SLE.

Please communicate your expression of interest to the committee of Congress chairs care of adoria@unipd.it.

It would be expected that interested parties would make a presentation to the committee during the October 2021 meeting in Venice.

The interested party will be asked to present a 10 minutes talk during the President’s Committee Meeting. Please prepare 10-15 slides.

The main purpose of the bid process is to:

• Highlight your goal/ vision
• Statement of Merit
• Demonstrate that the bidding organization has the capability and resources to stage the event
• Provide additional reasons why the bidding organization should be selected over other rival bidders. For example, these additional reasons may include: Participants will have better facilities than other rival bidders (Accessibility, Landmarks, Top site)
• The event has greater financial backing than rival bids
• Spectators will have better facilities
• Conference Venue Proposal/ Event Management Details
